How to Create animation timeline

To find the timeline panel, go to menubar→Window→Timeline

use the bar to scale the timeline

each different layer is a new drawing, but each drawing’s duration might be different

Now I am separating the layer out of that video layer,

Then you can draw on top of it as much as you want. Notice that whenever I cut the layer, I Command/control +A to select all, and then delete whatever drawings that were there on the previous frame. Because when you are cutting it, it’s essentially a kind of duplication
